Deacon Jose (Joe) G. Gonzalez

Deacon Joe was ordained in the Catholic Diocese of Brownsville in November 18, 2010 by Bishop Daniel Flores and assigned to serve at St. Francis Xavier Parish.  He is married to Yolanda Gonzalez and have one child Marcos (deceased) and one grandson, Tristan.  Deacon Joe and his family were first members at St Francis Xavier since 1983 leading various ministries and participating in parish councils.  The call to the diaconate came over one weekend through Father Plutarco Belangoy while participating in an ACTS retreat at St. Francis Xavier Parish.  The Journey continues to be a servant of the people in leading the sacramental life of the parish.
